Communicating Public Information in Emergencies

This public information training video is intended to assist in the development of a credible and comprehensive joint information system that functions well in communicating risk information to the public in emergencies and that effectively comes together to suuport a Joint Information Center - or JIC - when needed.

People who work in emergency situations on a daily or periodic basis, those who are involved in technical or commercial warning endeavors, people who regularly communicate with the public, and those that are responsible for others' safety - such as school principals or managers of health care facilities or other institutions - may also find the training concepts helpful in developing or improving their own emergency public information programs.
